Abstract

Although Elliot L. Jurist’s review of Recognition: Fichte and Hegel on the Other was not unfavorable and indeed very helpful in showing the importance of the topic of recognition for contemporary philosophy, he nevertheless so fundamentally misrepresents my position that I am obliged to reply.
