Abstract

Zhou in the history of Chinese thought, "heir to the holy, open to philosophy," an important academic position, his deck holes Mengyu Xu, Kai Neo-under. However, Zhou's academic status is not high during his lifetime, revered as the originator of Taoism, is the Southern Song Dynasty current affairs. Such as the Southern Song Dynasty scholar Zhang Shi for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of Confucian ethics, especially Confucian ethics for cosmology and ontological aspects of protection and in accordance with, and thus Zhoudui Yi and "Diagram that" a high degree of attention and aroused extensive discussions, Zhou's increasing influence at the time. This paper examines Zhang Shi on Zhou's willing to recognize and evaluation, as an example of Neo Zhang Shi Zhou suzerainty in the process of establishing the importance of the role and significance. Zhou Dun-yi occupied important academic status that he carried forward the cause and forged ahead into the future in the history of China. He not only carried the doctrine of Confucius and Mencius but also forged the theory about feeling and nature of Neo-Confucianism. However, Zhou Dun-yi hadn't been appraised such as in his times. It was Nan-Song that he was honored originator of Neo-Confucianism. In order to rebuild moral doctrine, especially search the basis of ontology for the moral doctrine, Zhang Chi and so on began to pay their attention to Diagram of the Supreme Ultimate of Zhou Dun-yi. At the same time, they discussed it deeply and widely which made Zhou Dun-yi famous. The thesis mainly probe into the appraisement of Zhou Dun-yi from Zhang Chi from which we may peek the contribution of Zhang Chi in the process of Zhou Dun-yi established originator of Neo-Confucianism
