Abstract

This paper is a conceptuation, a construction, that intends to allude to what Nancy calls modal ontology of the body. In order to do this, in the first place, we will mark out some strokes of what he calls “modal ontology”, so as to at least name its differences with the so called philosophy of the body and phenomenology of the body, as well as the philosophy of the sense and significance. From then on, towards a second step, we will devote ourselves to literally groping zones of the body, carrying out an “unfinished enumeration” of those zones or modal traits of the ontological body. One of these will focus precisely towards that which concerns the tonalities and the emotions
