Abstract

This study aims at commenting on the references the Pope Benedict XVI makes to the work of Jacob Neusner, well-known for his studies on the Jewish traditions contained in the Mishnah and in the Talmud. His Holiness points out the meaning of Christ’s proposal and recovers the Gospel’s values as reliable historical data.
