CS2315-F08 December 7, 2008 Ethics and Therac-25 Some may question whether Software engineering or computer programming are just careers or if they are real professions. But there is no question that they have the ability to affect the public either through good or through harm. Software Engineers do not have to have a license to practice, but they still need to abide by a code of ethics. Without this code or a set of moral rules to guide them they cannot be expected to feel accountable for their actions [Book Review]
