Factors of transformation of social space of city in sociological discourse

Abstract

In the article the social space of the city that is in the process of constant transformation. We consider the city as a complex space which is constructed by human and physical and social dimensions, which are in constant interaction. The physical space is characterized by various types of buildings, transport network, instead, social – formed by the union of communities and individuals. An important component of socio­spatial structure analysis is the process of creation and life of local communities, who perform several functions. In general, social space acts as the territory in which the interaction of communities, individuals, which are subject to urban lifestyle and united collective representation, it is characterized by integrity and internal differentiation. The basic achievements of the classics of social science that became the basis of factors determining the overall transformation of the social space of the city. Established that transformation occurs at different levels – from micro, individual, meso – urban communities macro – society of the city, to the mega – global change mechanisms that are in constant interaction and with the processes of transformation are more or less important.
