Abstract

This article traces developments in the study of medieval philosophy through a quantitative-statistical analysis of the proceedings of SIEPM International Congresses in the period 1960 to 2012. The aim of the article is to chart general research trends and to identify the emphases of research activity as documented by the proceedings, which are treated as historical documents. To this end, every contribution has been classified from different perspectives . In addition, we have determined the absolute frequency of the names of medieval authors in the titles of the articles as well as in the index of names. We present the data of each Congress individually, and we offer a series of comparative diagrams
