Soggetto e fondamento in Hoelderlin. Tra filosofia trascendentale e pensiero speculativo

Abstract

The dissertation reconstructs the relation between the subject and the ground in the philosophy of Holderlin during the period 1794-1796. The necessity of solving the conceptual tangle regarding this relation comes from Kant’s philosophy, in particular the aesthetic part of the Critique of Judgment. From his study of Kant aesthetics rises the need to pass a borderline of the criticism and to connect the transcendental system with metaphysical monism. In a first moment his trial of overcoming Kant takes the form of a theory on the beauty, only later he deals with the problem of the consciousness. Trough the theory of self-consciousness he finds his way out from the transcendental system and this theory becomes the place for the relation between the subject and the ground. The thesis expressed in Urtheil und Seyn can be located between the transcendental philosophy and the speculative thought
