Abstract

Dans une premiére partie, l'article propose une « critique de la raison analytique » : on plaide que la philosophie analytique traite mal des mathématiques, de la physique et du langage, et qu'elle souffre d'un déficit épistémologique, en partie lié à sa volonté de faire corps avec la science. Dans une deuxième partie, on examine jusqu'à quel point, par rapport aux divers griefs dégagés dans la première partie, la phénoménologie fait mieux que la philosophie analytique. The first part of this paper is devoted to a « critic of analytical reason » : it is argued that analytical philosophy deals wrongly with mathematics, physics and language, and that it shows an epistemological deficiency, partly explainable by its wish of an organic bound with science. In the second part, it is examined whether or to what degree phenomenology has done better than analytical philosophy, with respect to the same points
