Theoretical and empirical academic research into emotions has, for the most part, fallen into two positions, social constructionism and naturalism. These standpoints have articulated the most important issues and they have spawned research into the most important factors regarding emotions. Resolving the conflict between them will therefore go a long way toward establishing the true nature of emotions and other psychological phenomena as well [Book Review]
