Abstract

No 400 ° aniversário da publiçàc oficial da Ratio Studiorum (1599-1999). o presente estudo proporciona uma perspectiva de conjunto do documento com o objectivo de articular "o nosso modo de proceder nos estudos", de acordo com o ideal do seculo XVI. O artigo segue o seguinte itinerário: primeiro. Inácio de Loiola. o fundador e a origem do carisma do apostolado jesuitico da edução. Em segundo lugar. os principals autores da Ratio, bem como as principals Escolas e Universidades por eles fundadas. Em terceiro lugar. o conteudo da Ratio: o seu programa de estudos. a sua metodologia e o papel do professor. Por fun. quatrocentos anos depois... No final, indica-se uma bíbliografia básica. O objectivo deste estudo é o de explicar a origem do carisma educativo jesuitico. bem como o modo como foi posto em prática com tanto sucesso durante dois seculos com a Ratio Studiorum. É tambem um convitc aos educadores de hoje. para que sejam excelentes e criativos. /// On the 400th anniversary of the oficial publication of the Ratio Studiorum (1599-1999), it is offered in this paper a whole view of the document which intends to articulate "our way of proceeding in the studies" according to the ideal of the 16th. century. The paper develops the following steps: firstly. Ignatius of Loyola, the founder and the origin of the charism of the Jesuit educational apostolate. Secondly, the main men of the Ratio and the Schools and Universities they founded. Thirdly, the Ratio's content: its programme of studies, its methodology and the role of the teacher. Lastly, four hundred centuries thereafter... At the end a basic bibliography is offered. The scopus of this study is to introduce the origin of Jesuit educational charism and the way it was put into practice so successfully for two centuries with the Ratio Studiorum. It is an invitation to be creative and excelent educators today.
