Abstract

The peculiarities of political, regimal and electoral evolutions of post-Soviet Ukraine and Russia are considered in the comparative context. The specific development trajectories in the mentioned countries during the post-socialistic period are singled out. The original and general characteristics in the democratic transition process of the two post-Soviet countries are defined. Forecasting remarks concerning possible political and regimal development of Ukraine and Poland are formed. The democratization is defined as a leading tendency of the world and Ukrainian political proces.
