A new definition of privacy for the law
Law and Philosophy 2 (3):305 - 338 (1983)
Abstract
The paper begins with a defence of a new definition of privacy as the absence of undocumented personal knowledge. In the middle section, I criticise alternative accounts of privacy. Finally, I show how my definition can be worked into contemporary American Law.My notes
