Abstract

Xun Zi in the "non-sub-12" in the accused Zisi, Meng Ke create an obscure "five elements", the posing and teacher of speech, confusion, after learning the facts. Over the years, people do not know the "five elements" within the meaning of what, speculation, today. This paper argues that in 1973 unearthed in Changsha, Hunan Mawangdui silk and 1993 unearthed Jingmen Guodian bamboo in the village, each with a Lost, to answer the eternal mystery provides a reliable clue. In Xun Zi's admonition of the philosophers of ancient China, there is mention of Mencius' rather vague theory of the "Five Elements". This theory was posited in place of the earlier authorities on the subject and thus confused later scholars. After all these years , there is still general disagreement as to what this "Five Elements" theory is pointing out. Perhaps the excavation of the silk texts at the Ma Wang Dui tomb in Changsha, Hunan, or the 1993 excavation of the bamboo texts at Guodian, Hubei can provide us with some clues concerning the meaaing of this ancient puzzle
