A defense of the authority of church doctrine

Abstract

This paper provides a philosophical analysis of the concept of "church doctrine" within Mormon theology and practice. Building on an earlier essay that analyzed "church doctrine" within Mormonism using the philosophy of law, this paper turns to the way in which it functions as an authority within Mormon discussions.
