Abstract

No obstante las escasas referencias explícitas a Vico en la obra de Voegelin, se busca mostrar la incidencia del pensamiento del napolitano en la obra del autor de The New Science of Politics, en cuanto ambos luchan contra tendencias de desdivinización; el primero contra el racionalismo cartesiano y el segundo contra el positivismo.No withstanding the scattered explicit references to Vico in Voegelin’s work, the paper intends to show the incidence of the Vichian thought onto the The New Science of Politics’ author. The two both contend against strong tendencies of secularism: the first stands against Cartesian rationalism, the latter against positivism
