Abstract

This essay examines Berlin’s pluralism through two ways: a historical-philological one and a theoretical-problematic one. Berlin’s pluralism can avoid both the risk of monism and the one of relativism, in virtue of its reference to an ideal which does not correspond neither to a specific value nor to a mere combination of values, but to a form of life which allows achieving the widest possible range of values
