Abstract

In this paper I examine, in the first place, the Aristotelian developments about the "psittacism" or "language of the parrots” . The results of these analyses will allow us to examine, next, some observations and rules concerning the relationships among genus and differentia . I consider, finally, an argument of Metaphysics B, in which Aristotle, arguing from this observations and rules, defends his famous dictum according to which being is a not a genus
