Abstract

Previous chapter Between the 3rd and 1st centuries BC, due to the longstanding Greek presence in Southern Italy, increasing commercial contacts and finally military conquest in the aftermath of the battle of Pydna, the Greek culture massively penetrated the Roman world. Rhythm was one of the many concepts borrowed by the Romans during this period.
