Abstract
Recent events in the sporting world have made explicit the moral, political, and cultural characteristics of discussions surrounding the use of enhancement technology in sport. Within the last 5 years, the landscape of sport technologies and policy has changed dramatically and it is reasonable to consider that further innovations are imminent. Elite sports constitute arenas for convergent technological applications where a range of applications demonstrates the embeddedness of sports within technological structures.
