Abstract

This book distinguishes between conservative and socialist humanism in contemporary Spanish culture. The author gives special attention to aesthetics and politics in Falangist culture; the rhetoric of conservative humanism; the influence of Frued in Spain; the Marxist essay in Spain; the rhetoric of anti-humanism; Jose Luis Aranguren and the role of the moralist.
