Abstract

This article is from the line of Jackson's "life and life of Christ ages of Buddha" caused. The book emphasizes the common ground between Jesus Christ and Buddha, and the resulting conclusions as long as faith Atsuzane, the line of its letter of their line, letter or letter of Buddha, Jesus, is basically not much difference. However, as the author of Buddhism itself is a true Zen master, so the more of Christ and Buddha, the Buddha has always been the main vice of Christ: those where the Buddha who are trying to find the body of Christ, where the Buddha-nots, the or deny or try that "something is wrong." Therefore, Christ's death and resurrection as the Son of the Father and so on doctrines of the Catholic faith as the basis, the authors actually can not agree. This on the one hand that the practice of faith, Christ and Buddha, there are similarities, but on the basic teachings, there are undeniable differences between the two exists. By the "ages of life and life of Christ Buddha" Another emphasized the introduction of Catholicism and Christianity are very similar to the author of Paul Tillich, the author by the faith of "ultimate concern" theory, and then infer that 'ultimate concern is to be fully engaged, "to the front of the mention of the practice of faith laid the foundation undeniable. Which alone the two religious similarities seem to end here, the basic teachings of the differences are also significant. Finally, the simplest outline of the Catholic faith made four characteristics: First, Christ-centered beliefs; Second, the end of the world as the goal of the faith; Third, the belief in divine mercy to help woo; and four to belief in the mission of salvation. This article is a reflection on Zen Master Yi-Xing's book "Living Buddha, Living Christ". The book emphasizes the similarities between Christ and Buddha. From these similarities it is concluded that a sincere faith is important. As long as you do what you believe and believe what you do, there isn't a great difference between in whether you believe in Christ or Buddha. However, due to the fact that the author is a pious Zen master, when he compares Christ with Buddha, he tends to lean toward The Buddha, subjugating Christ to a secondary level. All characteristics that the Buddha possesses, he finds in Christ. Anything Christ possesses that the Buddha doesn't, he ignores or considers inappropriate. Therefore, the author doesn't concern himself with Christianity's basic notions of the resurrection and the trinity. This article on one hand contends that in implementing faith, Christianity and Buddhism have some similarities, however, their basic teachings have some marked differences that cannot be denied. From "Living Buddha, Living Christ", I will consider another author, Paul Tillich, who emphasizes the similarities between Catholicism and Protestantism. Tillich advances from faith's "ultimate concern" to the notion of "total commitment", giving practical faith an undeniable cornerstone. Even though Protestantism and Catholicism have similarities, they also have some glaring differences. Finally, this article would like to summarize four major points of the Catholic faith: 1.Jesus Christ as the focal point of faith. 2.Faith in the Eschatology. 3.Faith in the benevolent providence of God . 4.Faith in ultimate salvation
