Abstract

The relationship between morality and law in the ethical system of VS Solovyov is considered. The meaning of the good as the highest, absolute value in the philosophy of absolute unity is revealed. Goodness is seen not only as a manifestation of absolute unity, but also as a mechanism for improving personality and the historical process itself in its pursuit of moral progress. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of Sofia as an ethical category reflecting the idea of the progressive transformation of the world and man, the dialectic of relative and absolute in morality. The foundations morals are based on are singled out, according to V. S. Solovyov: shame, pity, awe, and principles that serve as a means of achieving absolute good: asceticism, altruism, worship. Along with the good, the main ethical categories are considered: good, evil, freedom, purpose, conscience, justice, equality, etc. The analysis of law, legal relations and structures as a mechanism for the realization of spiritual and moral relations in society is given. The law is regarded as a regulator of personal freedom and common good, it rests on laws, their effectiveness is ensured by publicity, concreteness, applicability, separation of powers (legislative, judicial, executive) and subordination of supreme power. The state is regarded as the embodied right.
