The Revelation of Deconstructionism's Moral Point of View-construction in Derrida's Deconstruction
Abstract
Derrida's deconstruction in the field of political philosophy is to launch a revolution: it is through deconstruction, to build a mutually beneficial and equal with the traditional moral principle is completely different, non-reciprocal love and concern for the moral principle, and this a moral principle as the basis of justice. Derrida believes that based on the traditional moral principle of reciprocity and equality above traditional morality does not really treat them as distinct individual existence to look at, which resulted in the concept of equality based on reciprocity on the modern law plight. This analysis and evaluation of Derrida's ethics, and pointed out that his intent with the deconstruction of ethics has a positive construction of meaning. In The Politics of friendship, Derrida claims that the principle of care which is based on the authentic friendship should replace the modern moral principle of equality. He also claims that modern law runs into a dead corner as the traditional moral system based on mutual benefit and equality does not take into account of men as heterogeneous individuals. While, undoubtedly, Derrida's deconstruction has its extreme edge, the subversion of the basic idea of modern moral and law also has its positive or constructive side. We cannot fairly understand the proper meanings of Derrida 'deconstruction if we don't grasp the constructive elements of his deconstruction. Therefore the present thesis first outlines the basic idea of Derrida' authentic friendship, in order to make it clear: why the principle of care which is based on the authentic friendship has so important a position in his thought. Then the thesis goes on to analyze how Derrida, in the light of the principle of care, succeeds in opening up the "rattrap" of the modern law. Finally, the thesis points out what is the Derrida's constructive element in his deconstruction after a comparison of Derrida's theory of modern moral and law which take a reconstructive form
