Abstract

Examine changes in the course of Chinese state-owned banking system we will find, based on "institutional paradigm of" reform seems to have come to an end. We need to "functional paradigm" to look at China's state-owned bank reform, and to guide the next step of the financial system, to better promote financial and economic development. Based on functional paradigm, China's state-owned banks should be a logical starting point for the reform of banks as financial intermediaries possible to achieve its function, reform of state-owned banks from which the system environment and economic objective, emphasis on state-owned banks and functional coupling between the external environment relationship, not limited to state-owned banks to improve their efficiency. It seems that the reformation of "institutional paradigm" of China national banks has come to the end from the process of China bank reformation. It is necessary to examine the nationalized banks reformation by the "functional paradigm" perspective to guide China financial institution reform in the future. From the financial functional view, the reformation of China nationalized banks should begin from the systemic environment and economic goals, and attach importance to the relationship between nationalized banks and the outside environments rather than only confine in the scope of improving the banks efficiency
