Abstract

Baptism of Rus prince Volodymyr was not a more significant event than the adoption of Christianity 1153 years ago - in 860, Prince Oscald. It is strange that the 1150th anniversary of this baptism in 2010 somehow flicked for the authorities of Ukraine, unnoticed. But you see him for Moscow is not interesting. Meanwhile, the event played a more significant role in the history of Kyivan Rus' than the baptism of Vladimir baptism that was not noticed by the then Christian world.
