Abstract

This paper presents in the first part an exact reconstruction of the Kantian argument that a metaphysical foundation of morals is necessary, namely necessary for the moral action itself. But the difficult execution of the metaphysical foundation doesn't allow any popularization and out of this problems for the realization of the pure practical reason follow. In the second part the paper examines the role of anthropology in the process of realization of the pure practical reason. Hereby the "Anthropologie in pragmatischer Hinsicht" turns out to be a kind of practical hermeneutic which subsume historical and social relations and circumstances under concepts of freedom teaching us to read the traces of reason in the social and cultural history
