Open theism: in search for a middle road in the philosophy of religion
Abstract
The article presents open theism: a conception of God that arose in the 1980s in the United States and that, in the opinion of its creators, is meant to constitute a middle road between classical theism and the theism of process philosophy. In the present text the author discusses the historical and methodological aspects of open theism, its principal claims, presuppositions and implications, and its applications to selected issues in the philosophy of God and religion.
