Abstract

"And" is an important area of Chinese philosophy, but also music, the main concepts of aesthetics, the concept of this music not only in China Pre-Qin thought to play an important role in the same period of ancient Greek musical thought has at its core essence, The article in the longitudinal study, mainly in the pre-Qin Confucianism, Taoism, two for the discussion of the spindle in horizontal comparison, places aesthetics of ancient Greek music objects for the study, on the one hand the main emerged "and the" concept of commonality at the same time highlights their differences, to explore the ancient Chinese and Western music, the intrinsic aesthetic qualities. Harmony is the important category in Chinese philosophy. It also plays a considerable role in Pre-Chin as well as in ancient Greek musical thought. Hence, I probe into the conception of harmony in Confucianism, Taoism and ancient Greek musical thought. In this paper , it is expected to reveal the generality and the difference in Chinese and Western musical thought to explore the deep inner trait in music aesthetics
