Who Was the Real Translator of Byron's Four Poems, Su Manshu or Huang Kan?

Abstract

All along, Byron's "line out of the country", "praise the sea", "Isles of Greece" is considered Su Man-shu's translation, according to Huang Kan's own account, three poems were translated by Huang Kan. From the literature point of view, two features of poetic writing style and disparities; Mansfield's life and the experience of learning Chinese language use determines its style from the three poems of vigorous and there is a certain distance of the ancient high; Mr. Huang Kan mind Ruogu, Shicaiaowu, not something out of nothing; presentation in Kan found three translations of poetry are three further confirmed Kan real translator of poetry. Terms from the text, the translation of poetry styles and three other Su Man-shu Translating Poetry different. Therefore, the three poems are translated by Huang Kan. Since the publication of the translations of Byron's three poems, My Native Land-Good Night, The Ocean, and The Isles of Greece, Su Manshu has long been considered to he their translator. Huang Kan claimed he was the real translator. Detailed historical documents and textual analysis all testify to Huang Kan's translatorship
