The Recent Development of the Sociology of Knowledge

Abstract

This paper describes the一九六○ years after the Western genre and the sociology of knowledge of the evolution of the case doctrine. First introduced the second generation of Frankfurt School theorists Habermas main purport of their knowledge and communication theory, followed by the social phenomenon involving Shu Chi said, and his disciples Boer Ge and Luckmann's phenomenological theory of social construction. Then followed by discussion of structuralism and the sociology of knowledge of the association, and to Foucault's deconstruction theory to explain why he emphasized that the combination of knowledge and power to become the phenomenon of post-industrial society. Final and the sociology of knowledge related to feminism, emphasizing the play mothers, wives, daughters and other women in the role of men in all walks of life to balance the extreme views of the potential contribution to the half-century European and American scholars of the sociology of knowledge of the speech focus exhibition for a feed of the analysis of hook mysterious comment. The essay deals with the recent development of sociological theory of knowledge since the end of the World War II. It begins with the discussion of Jurgen Habermas' analysis of three types of knowledge according to empirical, practical and emancipatory interests. It is followed by a brief exposition of Alfred Schutz's theory of social phenomenology as well as the phenomenological construction and study of society presented by Peter Berger and Thomas Luckmann. This paper also discusses the relationship between the sociology of knowledge and strucflra1ism, especially Althusser's treatment of ideology. Foucalt's concept of post-modernity. and his idea of ​​the dispersion of power and its relevance for knowledge are critically analyzed. Finally, the article investigates the feminist view of knowledge and evaluates its contribution to the contemporary sociological study.
