Abstract

Heath presents a contribution to the development of communicative theory by advancing the theory of the self sufficient to support inter-subjectivity. The origins of communicative theory in the writings of Kant and Charles Sanders Peirce are described, along with an outline of the development of communicative theory by Apel and Habermas.
