God as the Other-The Concept of God in the Philosophy of Emmanuel Levinas
Abstract
Levinas not talking about religious concept of God, but the metaphysical concept of God. Its contents include: first, how to re-locate God? His infinite ideas from Descartes and Hebrew "Bible" of the concept of God in those who come out of his concept of God. Second, how to understand the relationship between God and man? He believes that the relationship between God and man is broken, there are likely to encounter. Third, how people close to God? He pointed out that close to the ethical encounter in God, God in man's ethical Fulfillment looming into. What Emmanuel Levinas talks isn't the view of God in region, but in metaphysics. The metaphysical view of God includes three issues. Firstly, how do we redefine God? Levinas points out the view of God as the Other based on Descartes' thought of infinity and the Hebraic Bible. Secondly, how do we understand the relationship between God and man? Levinas thinks that on one hand God and man are separated, on the other hand they are possible to encounter.
