Abstract
On the Hundredth Anniversary of the Birth of Albert EinsteinMarch 14, 1979, marked 100 years since the birth of Albert Einstein, outstanding scientist of the twentieth century, profound thinker and humanist. Having created first the special, and then the general, theory of relativity, Einstein in many ways determined the course of development of modern physics. His works facilitated the creative reinterpretation of the traditional view of the structure of space-time and the nature of gravity and helped to deepen significantly our notions of physical reality as a whole
