State and local leaders' views of home affordability

Abstract

The results of this survey, conducted between May and July 2006, indicate that the responsiveness to issues of home affordability can be affected by how the people who live in affordable homes are described. The survey also is instructive in providing insights on policies designed to increase the availability of affordable homes. Findings suggest that differences in recognition of home affordability as a problem vary based on home costs in different markets. Homes for Working Families, Inc.
