Abstract

A brief analysis of human communication is presented, emphasizing paralanguage as one of the theorical bases used in the investigation of urban children in a stressful situation. A detailed analysis of the paralanguage of children of both sexes is made, describing how they process their social being trough different socializing agents in the micro-environments in which they live. The results contribute to the description of the profile of institutionalized children , street children and working urban children
