Abstract

In this paper the author maps the debate in contemporary political theories about justice through the key concepts of recognition and distribution. It shows the normative theory of justice by Nancy Fraser, called ‘parity of participation’. This theory aggregates elements of both recognition and distribution’ theories. At the end, it deals with the critics of Zerillli about the universalistic feminist theories and shows the affiliation of Fraser with pragmatism
