Abstract

Resumo: O presente trabalho tenta abordar o debate entre Habermas e Rorty sobre a questão da verdade. O tema é controverso na medida em que os dois filósofos têm suas propostas sob prismas diferentes, embora considerem a virada lingüística. Rorty pensa que devemos abandonar a noção de verdade, por argumentos mais ou menos úteis, por meio de novas redescrições, e da mesma forma quer se manter distante das tentativas universalistas. Habermas acusa Rorty de não ter levado a virada lingüística até suas úl-timas conseqüências, e manter uma crítica epistemológica para a noção de verdade. Deste modo, Habermas diz que devemos manter a noção de verdade e seu caráter in-condicional, mediante a certeza de um mundo igual para todos, uma vez que todos en-tram em contato com os mesmos objetos, por meio do mundo da vida e do nível discur-sivo.Palavras-chave: Filosofia Política - Filosofia da ciência - Jünger Habermas - Richard Rorty.: The present work probe to approach the debate that occurred between Habermas and Rorty on the subject of the truth. The theme is controversial because the two philosophers have their proposals under different prisms, although they consider the linguistic turning. Rorty thinks that should abandon the truth notion, for arguments more or less useful, through new redescription, and in the same way he wants to maintain distant of the attempts universalists. Habermas accuses Rorty of not having taken the linguistic turning until their last consequences, and to maintain a critical epistemological for the truth notion. This way, Habermas says that we should maintain the truth notion and its unconditional character, by the certainty of a same world for all, where all get in touch with the same objects, through the world of the life and of the discursive level
