Abstract

Generally accepted that metaphysics is "either-or" absolute way of thinking. Why dialectical metaphysics intrinsic nature, and constitute the soul of Western philosophy, Western philosophy as a whole are intertwined with metaphysics? The paper believes that it is inherently dialectical metaphysics of Western philosophy as well as promoting Western culture continues to go beyond the course, it is precisely because of this was provided and the formation of Western philosophy and cultural traditions. Metaphysics of self-transcendence, on the one hand shows the Western cultural tradition of rational transcendence, is another example of internal metaphysics of "self" consciousness.
