Abstract

One of the most difficult things to present in a social research methods class is the "construction of the research Object". This essay is the result of a series of reflections on how best to deal with the subject: 1) what is the pedagogical objective of training in research methods?; 2) from where does this Object emerge?; 3) what is a research Object?; 4) how does one define the research Object that one wants to build?; 5) what role does this Object play in our research process?; and 6) what is the constructed Object?. This presentation reviews the way in which we are currently broaching the issue and the reasoning behind it. Finally, we present additional questions suggested by our initial reflections.Uno de los aspectos más difíciles de tratar en una clase de Metodología de la Investigación Social es "la construcción del Objeto". Este trabajo parte de un conjunto de reflexiones que hemos hecho en torno a diferentes formas de enfrentar el tema: 1) ¿cuál es el objetivo pedagógico de una formación metodológica?; 2) ¿de donde surge el objeto de estudio?; 3) ¿qué es un objeto de estudio?; 4) ¿cómo se delimita el objeto a construir?; 5) ¿qué rol cumple el Objeto en el proceso investigativo?; y 6) ¿qué es el Objeto construido?. Lo presentado resume la forma en que actualmente estamos presentando la construcción del Objeto y las reflexiones que nos han llevado a esas posturas. Finalmente presentamos algunas interrogantes sugeridas por estas reflexiones
