Abstract

Analyses ethical and legal dilemmas typically faced by occupational therapists. The text covers situations likely to confront students, clinicians and managers, leaving them better prepared when there is no clear-cut right or wrong answer. Case study scenarios are included. New to this edition is a chapter on informed consent in research, one on confidentiality during group work, and one on ethical issues when the practitioner is a whistle-blower. End-of-chapter questions help the reader explore and shape his or her own ethical perspectives, allowing an exploration of options before these are put to the test in the real world.
