Abstract

Richard Kenneth Atkins is associate professor of philosophy at Boston College and executive director of the Charles S. Peirce Society. Working in the areas of pragmatism and American philosophy, he is the author of Charles S. Peirce's Phenomenology and Peirce and the Conduct of Life, among other books and articles.David E. Conner is a graduate of the Iliff School of Theology and has studied Whitehead's philosophy with John Cobb.
