Answering the Free-Rider

Abstract

This article considers whether it is possible to answer the free-rider from the perspective of the moral sceptic like David Hume and John Mackie. The author considers these philosophers' arguments but finds them ultimately unconvincing. Nevertheless, the author argues that the moral sceptic can still condemn the free-rider, even if she cannot answer him or convince him to change.
