During the last decade it has been widely claimed that Mileva Marić, Albert Einsteins first wife, made essential contributions to the scientific papers of theannus mirabilis 1905. But the remaining documents do not support this view. Drawing that picture of her as ‘the mother of relativity’ even though means pushing things too far.
