    This paper provides a critical interpretation of the theme, point, and methodological status of Adorno’s so-called negative dialectic.     I argue that Aristotelians who are sympathetic to the critique of liberal moral categories put forward by Alasdair MacIntyre ought to avail themselves of Marx's analysis of capitalism in Capital, Volume 1. Broadly speaking, there are two reasons for such a recommendation.
