En el presente trabajo se reflexiona el proceso de construcción del autoconocimiento propuesto por Ernst Cassirer. El objetivo es identificar la tensión entre la vida y espíritu como su antítesis básica y a las mediaciones simbólicas como el recurso cultural que posibilita la formación de un autoconcepto. A través de una revisión crítica de la Philosophie der symbolischen Formen y An Essay on Man, se sostendrá que, i) el autoconocimiento es un proyecto tríadico que integra cada fase previa, ii) que (...) requiere una investigación funcional de la obra y cultura humana para iii) sostener una tensión que distingue sin separar al agente como ser vivo y su autoconocimiento como un producto espiritual. This paper examines the anti-psychologism of Paul Natorp, a Marburg School Neo-Kantian. It identifies both Natorp’s principle argument against psychologism and the views underlying the argument that give it its force. Natorp’s argument depends for its success on his view that certain scientific laws constitute the intersubjective content of knowledge. That view in turn depends on Natorp’s conception of subjectivity, so it is only against the background of his conception of subjectivity that his reasons for rejecting psychologism make sense. This book proposes to identify three long-term structures in causal reasoning - in particular, in terms of the relationship between cause and identity - that appear to be of value in categorizing and organizing various trends in philosophical thought.<br>Such conceptual schemes involve a host of philosophical dilemmas (such as the problem of relativism), which are examined in the first chapter.
