  1. Perfect and bipartite IMTL-algebras and disconnected rotations of prelinear semihoops.Carles Noguera, Francesc Esteva & Joan Gispert - 2005 - Archive for Mathematical Logic 44 (7):869-886.
IMTL logic was introduced in [12] as a generalization of the infinitely-valued logic of Lukasiewicz, and in [11] it was proved to be the logic of left-continuous t-norms with an involutive negation and their residua. The structure of such t-norms is still not known. Nevertheless, Jenei introduced in [20] a new way to obtain rotation-invariant semigroups and, in particular, IMTL-algebras and left-continuous t-norm with an involutive negation, by means of the disconnected rotation method. In order to give an algebraic interpretation (...)

  • On the reflection invariance of residuated chains.Sándor Jenei - 2010 - Annals of Pure and Applied Logic 161 (2):220-227.
It is shown that, under certain conditions, a subset of the graph of a commutative residuated chain is invariant under a geometric reflection. This result implies that a certain part of the graph of the monoidal operation of a commutative residuated chain determines another part of the graph via the reflection on one hand, and tells us about the structure of continuity points of the monoidal operation on the other. Finally, these results are applied for the subdomains of uniqueness problem, (...)

  • Involutive Uninorm Logic with Fixed Point enjoys finite strong standard completeness.Sándor Jenei - 2022 - Archive for Mathematical Logic 62 (1):67-86.
An algebraic proof is presented for the finite strong standard completeness of the Involutive Uninorm Logic with Fixed Point ($${{\mathbf {IUL}}^{fp}}$$ IUL fp ). It may provide a first step towards settling the standard completeness problem for the Involutive Uninorm Logic ($${\mathbf {IUL}}$$ IUL, posed in G. Metcalfe, F. Montagna. (J Symb Log 72:834–864, 2007)) in an algebraic manner. The result is proved via an embedding theorem which is based on the structural description of the class of odd involutive FL$$_e$$ (...)

  • Implicational (semilinear) logics I: a new hierarchy. [REVIEW]Petr Cintula & Carles Noguera - 2010 - Archive for Mathematical Logic 49 (4):417-446.
In abstract algebraic logic, the general study of propositional non-classical logics has been traditionally based on the abstraction of the Lindenbaum-Tarski process. In this process one considers the Leibniz relation of indiscernible formulae. Such approach has resulted in a classification of logics partly based on generalizations of equivalence connectives: the Leibniz hierarchy. This paper performs an analogous abstract study of non-classical logics based on the kind of generalized implication connectives they possess. It yields a new classification of logics expanding Leibniz (...)

  • The Variety Generated by all the Ordinal Sums of Perfect MV-Chains.Matteo Bianchi - 2013 - Studia Logica 101 (1):11-29.
We present the logic BLChang, an axiomatic extension of BL (see [23]) whose corresponding algebras form the smallest variety containing all the ordinal sums of perfect MV-chains. We will analyze this logic and the corresponding algebraic semantics in the propositional and in the first-order case. As we will see, moreover, the variety of BLChang-algebras will be strictly connected to the one generated by Chang’s MV-algebra (that is, the variety generated by all the perfect MV-algebras): we will also give some new (...)

We axiomatize the notion of state over finitely generated free NM-algebras, the Lindenbaum algebras of pure Nilpotent Minimum logic. We show that states over the free n -generated NM-algebra exactly correspond to integrals of elements of with respect to Borel probability measures.

  • Varieties of BL-Algebras III: Splitting Algebras.Paolo Aglianó - 2019 - Studia Logica 107 (6):1235-1259.
In this paper we investigate splitting algebras in varieties of logics, with special consideration for varieties of BL-algebras and similar structures. In the case of the variety of all BL-algebras a complete characterization of the splitting algebras is obtained.
