  1. What is Sustainable Theory? A Luhmannian Perspective on the Science of Conceptual Systems.Steven E. Wallis & Vladislav Valentinov - 2017 - Foundations of Science 22 (4):733-747.
Sustainability is an important topic for understanding and developing our society. For scholars who want their academic contributions to have an impact, sustainability is important for our conceptual systems. Because our conceptual systems share similarities with our social systems, we may investigate their characteristics to gain insight into how both may be achieved or at least understood. Theories of the humanities as well as the social/behavioral sciences are changing very rapidly. They are fragile and few seem to have any longevity. (...)

  • The Grofs’ Model of Spiritual Emergency in Retrospect: Has it Stood the Test of Time?Darlene B. Viggiano & Stanley Krippner - 2010 - International Journal of Transpersonal Studies 29 (1):118-127.
The purpose of this essay is to review the Grofs’ model of spiritual emergencies. The authors ask: Has the model been useful for identifying and treating psycho-spiritual distress? Should it be amended? Spiritual emergency can be defined as a crisis involving religious, transpersonal, and/or spiritual issues that provides opportunities for growth. Spiritual emergence, meanwhile, lends itself to gentler transformation. The research methods include an archival literature review triangulated with an authoritative interview. The findings are that the Grofs’ model of spiritual (...)

  • Geomagnetic field effects in anomalous dreams and the akashic field.Stanley Krippner - 2006 - World Futures 62 (1 & 2):103 – 113.
Ervin Laszlo has used the ancient concept of the Akashic Records for the basis of his "Akashic Field" (A-field) model, one that has obvious implications for parapsychology, the scientific study of anomalous human-human and human-environment interactions, that is, "psi." Experiments with "telepathic" and "precognitive" dreams are one example of parapsychological research that may fit the A-field model because of its information-carrying potential. Psi appears to be a complex system, one that may reflect the connective "web" posited by the A-field model. (...)

  • God, Ontology and Management: A Philosophical Praxis.Margaret R. DiMarco Allen - 2019 - Philosophy of Management 18 (3):303-330.
A philosophy of management that incorporates the big picture of human experience, all levels, and degrees of awareness in relationship with the world, will better develop and sustain an environment conducive to creative contributions that meet organizational goals. Quantum physics reveals the nature of reality to be connection and creativity engaged in a process of actualizing possibilities. Human beings participate in this process of actualization, as both observer-creator and experiencer of the universe through multiple domains of knowing – a collaborator (...)
