Summary Roughly speaking, research on Spinoza's philosophy of mind concerns the nature of the mind, its elements, and its mechanisms -- i.e., what it is, what its parts are, and how it works. The papers under the first category -- the nature of the mind -- therefore concern the mind-body problem, broadly construed, which relates in Spinoza to mind-body parallelism and panpsychism, as well as the issue of consciousness.
